Do I need a physical therapy referral from my doctor?
Direct access allows individuals the opportunity to seek physical therapy treatment without the need for a physician referral. There are a few select insurance plans, in addition to Medicare, that require a physician referral in order to have the services covered. That requirement can be determined at the time of insurance benefit verification.
What can I expect at my first visit at Taylor Rehab?

The appointment is designed to determine the appropriate treatment plan to achieve your goals and usually is 45-60 minutes in duration. To better assist your therapist wear comfortable clothing and arrive 15 minutes early to go over paperwork and necessary insurance information.

After your initial evaluation, your physical therapist will discuss your appropriate plan of care, including frequency and duration. The needs of each patient will vary depending on the particular situation.
