Many individuals may experience pain or injuries from their activities in the workplace.
Taylor Rehab works with individuals to help condition their bodies to meet the challenges of their particular job. Known as “work conditioning” (or work hardening), a physical therapist designs a regimen to help ensure that the patient is physically capable of completing his or her duties in the workplace – or to make sure the patient is strong enough to return to work after an injury or accident.
Patients in a work conditioning program engage in a series of activities designed to improve cardiac stamina and exercise tolerance, as well as strength exercises that address on the entire body. There is also has an educational component that aims to instruct participants on proper body mechanics in order to eliminate bad habits and reduce the chances of re-injury.
